Our approach to conserving tropical forests relies on the commitment and actions of TFT Member businesses.
We have Members in Europe, North America, South East Asia and New Zealand. They include multi-national retail giants, small ‘high street' retailers, suppliers dealing in thousands of containers and others that import fewer than 10 containers a year.
For them TFT membership is an integral part of their business.
We help link Members' supplying factories to FSC certified forests and to TFT forest projects, and monitor TFT ‘Wood Control Systems' to ensure that only approved wood is used in Members' products.
TFT Wood Control Systems are the most robust form of tropical timber origin verification available. They monitor 100% of out Members' non-FSC tropical wood orders from the tree, through the forest, to the factory and at all key points of manufacture.
