Harvesting Light: A profile of Edward Parker and his forest photographs.

Timber is the first thing that springs to mind when people talk about harvesting from the world's forests.

Edward Parker harvests something completely different - LIGHT.

Edward, a UK based photographer, has worked all over the world writing books and taking photos in and around forests:

Stunning shots of forest landscapes, trees, animals, plants and unique pictures of the local communities and indigenous people that live in and around forests.

Through his beautiful photographs and his writing, Edward has done much to champion the cause of forest conservation.

He has been a long time supporter of the Forest Stewardship Council and WWF, and also does assignments for corporate clients.

He has visited TFT project sites in Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Republic of Congo. The resulting photos are a tribute to Edward's patience and love and understanding of his subject. A small sample of Edward's TFT photos is shown here.
